The 2012 Renault Megane will go on sale in the UK starting next month, the French company releasing today official pricing figures for the hatchback, coupe and estate models.
Under the bonnet of the new Megane we will find the 1.4-liter 130 unit, the 2.0-liter TCe 180 but also three new engines. We talk about a 1.2-liter TCe 115 petrol unit and two dieselsm namely 1.5-liter dCi 110 and 1.6-liter dCi 130.
The most economical TCe unit si able to offer a fuel consumption of 53,3mpg UK (5,3 liters/100km) while the 1.5 dCi manages to impress with 80,7mpg UK (3,5 liters/100km).
All the new engines benefit from the Stop&Start technology for improved fuel consumption numbers. In terms of styling, the new model receives new alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, parking sensors, an improved audio system and new trim finishes.
The three-door Megane hatcback starts at £16,275 and is followed by the coupe with £16,775 and the estate variant with £17,075.
