Between supercars and futuristic-looking concepts, the current edition of the Detroit Motor Show was also an opportunity for manufacturers to present their affordable hatchback models for the U.S. market.
This time, we talk about Nissan’s Versa Note, a model which will enter the market in the coming months. Priced from $13,990, the model comes with a 1.6-liter engine producing 109hp and 107 lb-ft of torque, linked to a five-speed manual transmission.
There is also an Xtronic variant which benefits from fuel economy numbers of 40mpg (highway), 31mpg (city) and 35mpg (combined).
Nissan offers the new hatchback with a total of four trim levels ranging from the entry-level S, S Plus and SV grades to the higher-spec SL grade.
The Nissan Versa Note is not an entirely new model as the Japanese company already sells it in the local market under the Note nameplate.
“The new Nissan Versa Note shakes up the category by satisfying both the emotional and rational needs with features that are truly unexpected in the class,” adds Nissan.
