2016 NAIAS: 2017 Lincoln Continental Launched

After being previewed as a concept and revealed in some teaser images last year, the 2017 Lincoln Continental has finally arrived at the 2016 NAIAS, taking place these days in Detroit.

Everybody judged that the 2017 Lincoln Continental might take its design cues from the Bentley Flying Spur and to some extent, the model thus add the feel of the Spur, but it is a brand-new luxury car with its own feel and personality.

The attention to details is mostly seen on the car`s unique door handles which perfectly blends in with the design lines, or the panoramic sunroof which adds a sporty feel. Overall, we are looking an extremely evolved model from a visual standpoint.

Moving inside, the new Continental maintains the same luxurious feel, provided by the plush seats with a 30-way adjustment system, along with heating, cooling and massage functions. Other features include the high-end Revel audio system, Active Noise Control or the acoustic laminated glass.

Under the hood, the 2017 Lincoln Continental utilizes a brand-new 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine, outputting 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, the powertrain being hooked to an advanced all-wheel drive configuration. The all-wheel drive system comes hand in hand with the Dynamic Torque Vectoring, which sends the power to the rear wheels when cornering.

Other features include the steering wheel response with the Lincoln Drive Control, adaptive cruise control, 360-degree camera system, pre-collision assist, pedestrian detection, updated braking system and much more.

The 2017 Lincoln Continental will hit US dealerships this autumn with prices to be revealed before the launch date or even sooner.
