BMW presents five-door 114i and M135i models

2013 BMW M135i

BMW released details and photos for the five-door versions of the new 114i and M135i. The first one is powered by a 1.6-liter petrol unit able to produce 101 horsepower and 180 Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 11,2 seconds.

The top speed of the model is rated at 195 km/h with fuel consumption figures of 5,5 liters/100km and CO2 emissions of 129 g/km.

On the other hand, the more potent BMW M135i comes with a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine able to deliver 315 horsepower at 5,800rpm and 450Nm of torque from 1,300rpm.

“Harmoniously matching, exclusive design and equipment features as an alternative to the basic variant; BMW M135i with model-specific exterior and interior design directly attuned to the technical requirements,” says BMW.

The German company offers the sporty M135i with a six-speed manual transmission offering a 0-100 km/h sprint in 5,1 seconds while the eight-speed automatic gearbox is faster at 4,9 seconds.

The automatic transmission also returns a fuel economy of 7,5 liters/100km while the six-speed manual comes with consumption figures of 8 liters/100km. Expect these two models to reach the European dealerships later this year.
