The Germans from BMW officially unveiled today the new Zagato Roadster concept, a model which will be seen for the first time at the upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance which will be held in California.
The new good-looking German prototype is basically an open-top variant of the Zagato Coupe, the authors of this piece of art being Adrian van Hooydonk, BMW’s chief designer and, of course, Andrea Zagato.
According to the car maker, the new Zagato Roadster was built in about six weeks and borrows several features of its Coupe brother, especially at the interior.
However, the Roadster version stands out through a lower-slung rear end and a new contoured hood with air vents.
“Our success in finishing the car in such a short space of time shows what is possible when two successful companies pool their resources,” says the company.
