The Japanese people from Nissan decided that is the right moment to refresh the current Micra by introducing two new special editions in the UK. The new special editions are based on the Nissan Micra Acenta, their names meaning black and white in Japanese.
Under the bonnet, the models get a 1.2-liter naturally-aspirated unit but also few engines from Nissan’s DIG-S range. These units can be ordered either with manual transmissions or CVT automatic units.
The Micra Kuro gets distinctive through a Sapphire Black exterior finish which is a new color option in the range along special badges. The only noticeable difference between the Kuro and Shiro models is the exterior paint, the latter getting either a Pearl or Alabaster finish.
Other features of the special editions include heated front seats, climate control and parking sensors with parking space measurement. For extra £400 you can get the Nissan Connect system which is mainly a satellite navigation feature. Nissan announced a starting price of £11,550 for the entry-level 1.2-liter model in the UK.
