The Sportswagon variant of the new generation Kia Cee’d officially enters production at the company’s plant in Zilina, Slovakia.
The new Kia Cee’d is already available as a five-door hatch while the new estate variant follows to enter the market soon.
The range will get even wider with the introduction of the Kia Pro_Cee’d, a sportier variant of the Korean model. However, the latter is still under development, therefore, we better keep on topic with the Cee’d Sportswagon. About 285,000 cars will be produced at the Slovakian plant this year.
“The cee’d Sportswagon is an important addition to the Kia range in Europe and we have been preparing for its production throughout 2012,” says the CEO of Kia Motor Slovakia.
For now, we can’t tell you if the new wagon model will get exactly the same engine range as the hatchback variant. However, Kia will reveal all the important details on the Cee’d Sportswagon very soon.
