The luxury division of Toyota announced today the updates that will be available for the 2012 IS models which include the sedan, convertible and IS F model. We also talked about the high-performance IS F yesterday when Lexus published some information on the 2012 model year.
The 2012 Lexus IS sedan and convertible will be offered with a 2.5-liter V6 unit offering 204 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque but also with a more powerful 3.5-liter V6 able to produce 306 horses and 375 Nm of torque.
On the other hand, the 2012 IS F is powered by the same 5.0-liter V8 engine capable to offer 416 horsepower and 505 Nm of torque being coupled to an eight-speed transmission with Sport Direct Shift.
The only updates of the 2012 model year models are the new exterior finishes which include the Nebula Gray Pearl and Fire Agate Pearl. These two new colors replace the Smoky Granite Mica and Glacier Front Mica.
The 2012 Lexus IS F will receive new Red leather upholstery at the interior, replacing the existing one. A set of new 19-inch forged wheels and a retuned suspension are also going to be offered.
