McLaren announces dealers for the new supercar

2011 will be the year when the new McLaren Supercar, the MP4-12C, goes on sale worldwide and while there isn’t much more to be known about it, the company has just announced it’s initial network of dealers.

The launch will see 35 retailers the new 2011 McLaren MP4-12C but, according to McLaren the network is planned to grow by 2012.

The “home” European market will see a network of 12 dealers located various cities of the following countries: UK, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy and Switzerland.

As far as North America is concerned, the United States of American and Canada’s demand will be supplied by 8 dealers to begin with and they will be located in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Orange County, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Tampa.

As far as emerging markets are concerned the Middle East will get two dealers while South Africa will get one. It is expected that later this year the British company will be announcing the additional two retailers in the U.S., five in the Middle East and a network of four retailers in the Asia-Pacific region.

As a quick reminder about the 2011 McLaren MP4-12C you should know that it is powered by a 3.8L V8 twin-turbo engine producing around 600-hp mated to a 7-speed Seamless Shift dual-clutch gearbox (SSG). 0 to 60 mph is expected to come in the low 3 second range with a top speed of more than 200 mph.
