Possible fuel leak generates Jaguar XF recall

It seems that Jaguar is experiencing some problems with the XF sedan vehicles built between 2010 – 2012 and sold in the United States.

To be more specific, we talk about 4,195 units which may have an imperfect fuel tank outlet flange. In certain situations, it can break and start a fire, not exactly what you would expect from a British premium sedan.

This issue concerns only the models fitted with a 5.0-liter V8 gasoline units. The company also noticed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) about this problem.

If it happens to be one of the concerned customers, expect a letter from Jaguar where you are invited to visit a local dealership.

The recall is scheduled to begin starting December, the affected component following to be replaced free of charge. Fortunately, Jaguar says that this problem caused no incidents and they have the situation under control.
