Renault Captur crossover uncovered

The French continue on their defiant routine and whereas most of the world is getting loaded with coffee not to sleep through any unveiling from the Detroit Motor Show, they’re unveiling a new car.

Technically, it’s going to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show but we get to see it in its luscious shapes right now. At least this sort of arrogance is interesting.

The new car is a crossover, one which is closely related to quite a few cars already on the road. Never mind the details, it’s the new Renault Captur everybody.

A new impressive body was crafted for it. Renault made it themselves and they’ve had quite the workload to create it given what they’ve started with.

Originally, this is a Clio platform that Nissan shaped into the Juke. That’s a car best described as funky, which makes it hard to digest for a large portion of the population.

The Captur isn’t going to please everybody but it does seem like it’s less of an unusual machine. Conventional thinking is found under the bonnet as well.

Renault promise that the Captur’s engines, be them petrol or diesel, will offer best in class fuel economy (for comparative models) and the smallest amount of emissions of the lot.

Sounds… boring, really. Good thing the car looks cool and that the interior seems to be one of the best appointed ones in the segment.

Not too many buttons in there but the looks of the thing are almost incredible, even for what’s essentially a vanity machine.
