Skoda Superb gets new frugal GreenLine version

Skoda decided to reveal the Superb GreenLine model, available in Active, Ambition and Style grades. The “GreenLine” moniker says it all as this model is capable to drive over 1,700 kilometers on a single fuel tank thanks to the low average consumption of 3,7 liters/100 km.

It manages to return such good figures thanks to a 1.6-liter TDI diesel unit fitted with a start-stop system as well as brake energy recovery. The engine is linked to a six-speed manual transmission and returns CO2 emissions of 95 g/km.

Skoda also managed to improve the drag coefficient to 0,263 for the hatchback and 0,275 for the wagon. The lowest the number, the less fuel you will need as the wind is not having such a big impact.

The transmission has now longer ratios while the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system is also present. The all-new Skoda Superb GreenLine will make its debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, an event which opens its gates this fall.

That’s all for now in terms of details about the Skoda Superb GreenLine. More info will be available as the German automotive event is getting closer and closer.
