Porsche are going to give us a treat at Goodwood
The year’s most important motoring event in Britain, the Goodwood Festival of Speed that takes place from 2 to 4 July is where Porsche is planning on giving petrolheads a proper treat.
The German sportscar manufacturer has announced that they will be showcasing some historic racing cars at the event, to be precise, historic winners are the main course.

The Germans get a limited edition Fiat 500
Sorry to give away so much within the title but this is pretty much most of the news, a special edition of Fiat’s 500 model will be available in Germany under the name of “Rosso Corsa”.
It would seem my title isn’t the only one that’s more than obvious but the limited edition small Italian car does have a few more things to offer.

Opel Junior still on track
Despite GM’s issues with obtaining a loan from the German government, and in fact their decision to quit asking and go in alone after they were clearly rejected, Opel has an interesting announcement to make.
Opel has announced that the Junior, their city car is still well under development and will be unaffected by the situation within the current economical climate.

Life Ball event sees the Mini get a makeover from the fashion world
The biggest HIV/AIDS charity event in Europe isn’t very far away as it is scheduled to take place in Vienna on 17th July 2010 and within the program there will be a raffle with profits being sent of to funds for the cause at hand.

Sales of the Porsche Panamera are a surprise
Luckily for the Stuttgart based, performance oriented company the sales figures for their latest launch, the Porsche Panamera are a pleasant surprise.
The official sales records prove that the four door saloon offered by Porsche exceeded all expectations and, as a result, the Germans have raised their forecast for the year.

Edo Competition turns Aston Martin DB9 to DBS
The Aston Martin DB9 was never the sort of car aimed at people with poor credit rating but then the DBS appeared and had such a hefty bump in price tag that it scared away lots of wealthy people.
Even so, the car sold as quickly as the British could make it but from reading this report isn’t actually related to the DBS, or to tuning, or to the DB9. It’s mostly about people being… different.

Volkswagen Routan minivan recalled
Volkswagen USA has just announced that they will be recalling almost 16.000 Routan minivans over a possible fire hazard discovered.
The current recall is the fourth to be made this month after General Motors, BMW and Chrysler issued recalls on certain models for problems that could lead to a fire.
