Having been premiered to the world, the four-door sedan version of the 2011 Impreza WRX STI at the New York Auto Show in April and the Impreza XV crossover at the Geneva Motor Show back in March, Subaru has just made another important announcement.

Subaru issues a safety recall

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced a recall for the 2010 model year Subaru Legacy sedans and Outback crossovers equipped with a continuously variable transmission.

SAAB Cars North America will continue to offer GM’s OnStar feature for its vehicles. GM ownership of SAAB may have ended but relationships between the two companies continue to thrive.

As far as OnStar servicing is concerned it will start with the 2010 model cars and will be offered in the same format as GM’s US vehicles. Buyers get the first year free and then there’s an option to renew the contract.

Official: Subaru Impreza WRX STI Sedan revealed

Subaru unveiled at the Auto Show in New York the sedan version of the performance model Impreza WRX STI, able to deliver 305 horsepower. New York Auto Show saw the launch of an important model, a model that proves that Subaru has not forgotten the tradition. It’s about the sedan version performance of the Impreza WRX STI model, which comes to confirm the superiority of Japanese in this segment.

The new derivative of the sports range adopts the same aggressive look plus an oversized spoiler, which rose 36 centimeters to remind everyone of the old generation success. Under the hood we find the same 2.5 liter four-cylinder boxer engine, able to deliver a total of 305 horsepower and 501 Nm of torque.

Subaru will unveil at the New York Auto Show the version with trunk of the Impreza WRX STI model. The sedan model revive the tradition broken with the launch of the new generation in hatchback version. Subaru prepares a big surprise for fans, when the New York Auto Show will come. Japanese manufacturer will exhibit the American audience a new extension of the Impreza‘s range, but this time we are talking about WRX STI.

Predecessor’s fans will love to hear that Subaru plans to bring back to light the sedan version of the performance model. The Japanese’s intentions are confirmed by a first teaser, which reveals an oversized spoiler, positioned on the trunk, like the one was worn by the old STI.

I think this is the worst teaser that we have ever talked about; no offence to the Subaru fans, I’m a big admirer of this auto maker because it is building very high powerful cars but also cars that are also looking very jealously. Also, this car makes part of those that I like since I was a small kid and playing computer games with cars.
