Geely IG may cost less than Tata Nano
Chinese car maker Geely Automobile came to the Beijing Motor Show with a concept car entitled IG.

Now they claim that the eventual production version of the IG is a contender for the title of world’s cheapest car.
Tata Nano competitor from Hyundai
Tata Nano had a lot of success until this moment either that it is still not available to buy by customers but I heard a lot of people around me saying that they would buy such a car for a million of reasons excluding the one that it can not be used out of the city and also because it doesn’t has a powerful engine.
I think you already know that Tata Nano is an Indian auto maker and still, I don’t think that this Hyundai competitor will beat so much the Tata Nano talking about the sales. [Read more....]
Tata Nano caught fire on Eastern Express Highway in India
A Tata Nano model caught fire in India after 40 minutes on the highway. The car have totally burned and the authorities and Tata Motors officials are investigating the incident.
The famous Tata Nano, the cheapest car in the world, is back in the spotlight in India after a unit caught fire in Mumbai. The model was fresh purchased from a representative from Prabhadevi, Mumbai and was owned by Satish Sawant broker. In 2009, three Tata Nano customers have reported fires or flames and smoke coming from their vehicle.

Tata Nano EV at the Geneva Motor Show
I guess this was not evitable and I wouldn’t even think that such a small car as this Tata Nano would ever go on fuel but they did because in that time it wasn’t the “green time” as it is now. Yes, as you can see, we’re now talking about Tata Nano EV or better said, Tata Nano Electric Vehicle.
Yes one, of these photos or better said the second photo is from the Geneva Auto Show with this Tata Nano EV but this is not the most important thing I have to tell you, we also know that this Tata Nano EV can reach 60 km/h in less than 10 seconds and also having a range of 160 kilometers. Future Diesel Tata Nano to come this year
A diesel version of Nano is expected to begin on the market by year’s end. The engine, developed by Tata along with Bosch, develops only 25-30 horsepower. Tata is preparing to bring the public the first diesel version of Nano model, a vital option for those who want to further reduce operating costs of the cheapest model in the world.
To be able to give birth to a competitive engine, Indians have joined forces with Bosch. The result of the collaboration will be called the CRS 1.1 and, despite the name, will be an engine with a capacity between 650 and 750 cc, of course equipped with Common Rail technology.

Tata Magic Iris, 11 HP Car
Tata Motors introduced a new low cost model, this is Magic Iris, equipped with a diesel engine of 11 hp and has the capacity to carry five people. Ratan Tata, chairman of Tata Motors, continues the campaign in India launched by Nano model with the future Magic Iris. The model have five seats and is equipped with a diesel engine of 611 cc, water cooled, which delivers 11 hp.
Tata Magic Iris goal is to eliminate motorcycles with sidecars and overloaded motorcycles on the roads in India and to introduce a cheap car on the market for young families who need a means of transport.

Tata Nano, Car of the Year in India
The model launched by Tata this year on the Indian market has managed to win Car of the Year award in India. The fifth edition of Car of the Year competition held in India has brought a winner expected by everyone: Tata Nano. Model launched in India this year has managed to impress the jury with both practicality personality that give evidence, and especially by the unbeatable quality/price.
From jury made of automotive journalists that have given this award were part 11 members of the specialized media, the list including members of the editorials like CAR India, Top Gear India, Auto Bild India, Overdrive India and Business Standard Motoring.
