Tata Nano, Car of the Year in India

The model launched by Tata this year on the Indian market has managed to win Car of the Year award in India. The fifth edition of Car of the Year competition held in India has brought a winner expected by everyone: Tata Nano. Model launched in India this year has managed to impress the jury with both practicality personality that give evidence, and especially by the unbeatable quality/price.

From jury made of automotive journalists that have given this award were part 11 members of the specialized media, the list including members of the editorials like CAR India, Top Gear India, Auto Bild India, Overdrive India and Business Standard Motoring.

Finally, Nano received 63 points, which defeated the other cars launch this year on the Indian market:Chevrolet Cruze, Honda Jazz, Fiat Linea, Fiat Grande Punto, Maruti Suzuki Ritz, Mahindra Xylo, Skoda Superb, Tata Indigo Manza and Toyota Fortuner. Voting criteria were consumption and emissions, design, comfort, safety, handling, performance, functionality, environmental responsibility, dynamic characteristics, technology and technical innovations and quality / price ratio.
