Volkswagen decides to recall the new Jetta in U.S.

It seems that the Germans from Volkswagen are facing an unexpected recall for their new Jetta, the model dedicated to the U.S. market. More exactly, the Wolfsburg-based manufacturer have to recall 71,403 units sold in U.S. since March 2010. The problem is that an engine failure might occur due to wiring issue when the horn is used.

This strange happening caused no problems and no complaints were received since now but Volkswagen respects their customers and decided to make this recall on their own initiative, preventing any possile problems that might occur.

If you are one of the U.S. customers that bought the new Jetta between March 2010 and March 2011, expect to receive a notice where you will be directed to the nearest service to repair the wiring prolem.

Volkswagen Jetta reached the sixth generation and this is the only problem reported for the German model, an issue that caused no major problems, thus, the image of the brand is not very affected mainly considering that this recall is just a preventive one.
