Volkswagen introduce the six-seater Bulli electric concept

Back in 1947, Ben Pon built the base of the first VW MPV, known as Transporter 1, a well-known model for most of us. Today, the Germans from Volkswagen revealed at Geneva a fully electric concept called Bulli, a prototype which reminds the history of the German model, barely keeps the shape of the first generation but adopts the latest technologies of the automotive world.

The new VW Bulli concept boasts with an electric unit which develops 113 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque, enough power to make the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h possible in 11,5 seconds and a top speed of 140 km/h. The six-seater German concept comes with a lithium-ion battery pack which offers a driving range of about 300 km/h and a recharging time of just one hour.

The new Volkswagen Bulli concept also reminds us of the Microbous concept revealed 10 years ago at the same auto show in Geneva.

In terms of aesthetics, the new German concept which is not confirmed for production yet comes with a two-color scheme for exterior, a huge badge in the front and other futuristic features. Inside, a new multimedia system with iPad connectivity is available.
