The Germans at Volkswagen revealed the Passat Wolfsburg Edition, a model which will be sold in the United States with a starting price of $23,495. Under the hood, buyers will benefits from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder unit producing 170 horsepower and 240Nm of torque.
When linked to a six-speed automatic transmission, the 0-100 km/h sprint is possible in 8,7 seconds.
At the exterior, the new Passat Wolfsburg Edition comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, power exterior mirrors, slightly revised bumpers and new inserts. Inside, Volkswagen offers heated seats, perforated leather upholstery, iPod connectivity, Bluetooth support and satellite radio.
A new Media Device-Interface (MDI) will improve your comfort as well at the interior.
Volkswagen denied to say if this is a limited edition but claimed that it will arrive in the U.S. showrooms this spring. Strangely, there are no specific images with the new model, so we expect full details and photos to be offered in the coming weeks.
