Skoda VisionS Concept Revealed in First Teasers Ahead Geneva

All major players from the auto industry that have never imagined themselves building up an SUV model to cope with the regular ones – take for instance Lamborghini, Bentley or Ferrari– are now on the point of receiving a full blow from Skoda, which is also desperately trying to take a piece of the pie.

Its intention of launching the so called VisionS Concept are not new, the carmaker revealing its intentions a couple of months ago. Now, the company has released the first teaser images with concept, just ahead the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, where it will be presented worldwide.

The Skoda VisionS Concept, which will lead the way to the future Kodiaq SUV, might wear the company`s overall signature, but will ride higher and take its SUV lines from the VisionC Concept, unveiled back in 2014. It will ride on the Group`s new MQB platform, which translates in a three-row cabin, with plenty of space for passengers luggage.

The car`s dimensions are already public, the concept measuring 4.7 meters long, 1.91 meters wide and 1.68 meters high. This would be enough for six persons and their personal luggage.

From a visual standpoint, the Skoda VisionS Concept will come with an evolutionary design, highlighted by the angled roofline, updated front fascia with sleeker LED headlights, wide lower grille which complements the modified corporate grille, LED taillights with the traditional “C” graphics, roof mounted spoiler as well as the oval exhaust tips within the large bumper. All these would add a more aggressive attitude and look.

As far as the engine lineup goes, there are no details concerning the powertrains fitted underneath, but we should be able to find out more at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
