2018 Jeep Wrangler – Spy Phots Emerged

Jeep is currently testing out the all-new Wrangler edition, the model being spotted in a fresh batch of spy photos, wearing full camouflage.

The North American carmaker is likely to unleash the new-gen Wrangler somewhere in 2018, with the model to be built in Toledo, Ohio, at the newly developed FCA`s factory, with an investment of more than $700 million.

The new Wrangler will not loose its integrity for good and will come with the same iconic design language that used to enchant our senses for decades, however it will come with more evolutionary lines that will differentiate it from the rest of the previous models. Also, the new model will be bigger, much bigger than the current model, resembling somewhat with a Hammer tank.

The most significant body changes refer to a more raked windscreen, while the side mirrors will sit higher than the current generation.

More than that, the new Wrangler will also come with aluminum body parts, which will make it more lightweight and will improve its driving dynamics. The new architecture will also come with strong front and rear axles, adding thus increased rigidity and stiffness.

Another important highlight of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler would be the powertrain range under the hood. According to recent reports, the model will come with a 3.6-liter V6 engine, hooked to an eight-speed automatic and churning out around 300 horsepower. On the diesel`s side, a 3.0-liter V6 mill is also around the corner, which will be hooked to the same eight-speed automatic gearbox. The rumor mill also have it that the carmaker is also preparing a Wrangler pickup truck, with details and specifications to be revealed at a later date.
