2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 & E63 S Packed with Mind-Blowing Power

There is one good reason that Mercedes-Benz decided that most of its high-end models would be built under the AMG moniker, and that`s because the special division provides impressive power packages and tuned-up styling features.

And there are two particular models that are really standing out from the crowd with mind-blowing power. We are dealing here with the all-new 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 and E63 S, released last week ahead the 2016 LA Auto Show.

The power of these two high-end models are extreme: in the entry-level E63, AMG has fitted the new 4.0-liter V8 – which replaces the 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 – with 563 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is done in a staggering 3.4 seconds, at a topping of 300 km/h, if available with the AMG Driver`s package. Otherwise, the top speed stands at 250 km/h.

On the other hand, the 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 S churns out 604 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, with a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds. Both variants are offered with a standard nine-speed Speedshit MCT (Multi Clutch Technology) automatic with shift paddles on the steering wheel. AMG is also offering a Drift Mode feature which channels the power to the rear wheels and is activated into the “Race” mode with the shift paddles.

The E63 and E63 S also come with advanced mechanics, including an upgraded Air Body Control system, custom suspension system, mechanical rear differential lock, electromechanical speed-sensitive sports steering, three-stage ESP, high-performance brakes with 360mm discs, ceramic carbon discs sized 402 mm and 360 mm front and rear, and much more.

The E63 and E63 S will arrive in Europe next March, while the Unites States market will have it in dealerships somewhere in summer 2017.
