These Are the First Spy Shots with the 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.2

Thanks to our friends from, we now have the first spy photos with what appears to be the hardcore version of the 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the RS 4.2, the model recently undergoing some road tests.

As we can depict from the spy shots, the 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.2 packs with an evolutionary body styling, highlighted by an aggressive front bumper with wider air intakes, custom front fender vents as well as lightweight center-locking wheels.

Moving at the back, the RS 4.2 features a new rear bumper and diffuser, borrowed from the 911R, while the presence of a dual-exhaust system and a wide rear wing indicates an extremely fast sports car.

Since we are dealing here with a track-focused model, the cabin is also expected to come with sporty and lightweight materials, which will make it faster around the track. We might found the same features as in the 911 GT3 RS 4.0, such as cloth door pulls or lightweight door panels, roll cage, six-point racing harnesses and carbon fiber trim.

In the engine department, the 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.2 might pack a 4.2-liter flat-six mill, with speculations involving more than 500 horsepower.

We don’t know exactly the exact date of its market launch, but rumors have it that we might see it at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. In terms of pricing, we expect a higher tag than the $175,900 Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Until further news, enjoy the spy photos with the hardcore 911 GT3 RS 4.2!
