Chevrolet got ahead of themselves and unveiled the Spark’s electric version quite well ahead of this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show. The compact electron powered vehicle will be sold starting next year in the summer at a price that’s yet to be disclosed. That might be exactly what they’ve left to unveil at the upcoming […]
As one of Volkswagen’s leading efforts towards playing with the big boys of the premium segment the CC version of their Passat saloon has been off to quite the start. Unfortunately, that start took place well over three years ago so the Germans have given it a facelift, one they unveiled at the Los Angeles […]
Not that long after unveiling the regular version of the Honda Fit, the Japanese have come to LA with a special version of the little hatchback. As often the the way nowadays, the special version of the hatchback, is electric and entitled the 2013 Honda fit EV. Adding in the final bonus sees the Los […]
If the 2011 Jaguar XKR-S Coupe was often referred to as a trade-off between speed and all the British brand’s core values you’d expect to see them correct their mistakes, right? Well, as often the way with car makers, that didn’t happen. Instead, Jaguar decided they should get their money’s worth for the development costs […]
Though the Mazda CX-5 has been seen before in both concept and production form, the Los Angeles Motor Show gave us the first hand look at what a U.S. spec version will look like. Almost predictably, the styling is pretty much identical to the one of the European and Japanese versions, what really changed is […]
As you probably know, Subaru’s latest concept model, known as BRZ Concept STI is scheduled to be revealed in front of the audience at the Los Angeles Auto Show these days. Until then, the Japanese company provided new details and photos for the prototype which previews the production model, a vehicle which will be seen […]
Just two days before the originally scheduled unveiling of the 2012 Mercedes ML 63 AMG the three pointed star got ahead of itself. While it did make a lot of sense to unveil the Chevy Spark before the Los Angeles Motor Show, there’s a good chance the AMG powered SUV would have made a killing. […]
Jeep is a special part of Chrysler, a company of great tradition, great off-road competence and historic reliability but with the Los Angeles Motor Show coming up they were facing a bit of a problem. They have no new model to unveil, no concept ready and no major ideas in the pipeline. After a consult […]
The British at Land Rover have managed to prove, time and time again that they aren’t willing to listen to the outside world when it comes to coming up with a new model. Actually, their fans aren’t very interested in a new model unless it’s deeply conservative and doesn’t change too much about itself. This […]
Remember the Cadillac XTS Concept we saw a couple of years back; well, according to the luxury brand, come the L.A. Motor Show, something considerable is going to change about it. It’s not the look, it’s not the size, it’s not many of the gadgets that are going to disappear from the 2013 Cadillac XTS […]
The Americans from Ford announced today that the all-new Escape crossover will be introduced at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show in November, this year. The new Ford Escape will be based on the Vertrek Concept, a prototype which features the Kinetic design philosophy and had been presented in front of the audience few months […]
A while back, Chevrolet tried to do away with the whole “Chevy” idea. That didn’t really go along very well but here’s Mitsubishi preparing this car for the U.S. and calling it the “i”. I find it just about as amusing as the “Chevy” situation because that’s the Mitsubishi i-MiEV with some vinyl covers added […]
After Lamborghini came up with a massively long name for their lightweight convertible, the British over at Lotus outdid them on this front. I mean the 2011 Lotus Exige SC RGB Edition, my word, it sounds like a car with lots of acronym optionals on it.
I will admit, as an automotive fan, I tend to knock off Korean cars as a breed but lately my beliefs have been put to some serious testing. This happens because the Koreans keep coming up with better and better products and the Kia Optima Hybrid is possibly one of the best.
Could be, we won’t know for sure until we see it happening. What this actually is, is a Subaru Impreza Design Concept. The Los Angeles Motor Show finally started revealing some of the interesting stuff we’ve been waiting for.
The Paris Motor Show which ended just over a month ago, saw the German triple star manufacturer revealing the 2012 version of the Mercedes-Benz CLS. The 2012 model year CLS is a nice new release, makes for interesting reading on the refresh of a class opening Mercedes, but it’s, well, a bit lacking.
With just two days up to the Los Angeles Motor Show it’s getting relatively clear that hints, teasers and such aren’t happening anymore. That’s not to say manufacturers have just shut up, Cadillac for example just released a pretty informative piece on a new concept they’ll be presenting at the aforementioned auto show.
Now, this is something you don’t see everyday. In fact, I’m pretty sure this is something you don’t see, at all. This is the Convertible version of the 2011 Nissan Murano, the so called, Murano CrossCabriolet.
Don’t get me wrong, just about anything we have on the Los Angeles Motor Show this year is more or less interesting but a convertible sort of suits more of the town. Actually not even the whole town but definitely a part of Los Angeles is well accustomed to open top motoring.
