With over two years spent in development, the R nineT bike is the most recent product of BMW’s Motorrad division, and today marked the start of assembly.
Built as a worthy tribute for BMW 90 years anniversary, the new bike got quite a warm welcome into the world.
After passing a rigorous dyno test phase, in which some 1.000 parameters were checked to see if they were up to spec, the first three units were rolled out for a select few guests to see. With a very nice event put together by the German manufacturer, the media representatives got to enjoy every second with the R nineT bikes.
Ever since the Dark Knight trilogy hit the movie theaters, its great success managed to spill over in pretty much every industry, car making included.
And while we have seen a lot of builds based on the Batmobile (or rather tank), this golf cart has to be one of the best out there.
There are a couple reasons why this should be considered a success. First off, the builder actually managed to pull off the Dark Knight-ish look even on a golf cart, an otherwise bland and boring vehicle. Secondly, after listing the custom Batman cart on e-bay, someone actually bought it for $17.500.

There are a few electric bikes out there, each quite nice feats of engineering. But if there was something amiss, it has to be the design.
The bunch of them looked pretty much the same, and given the nature of the bike, it’s not something unexpected.
And then came the Voxen Wattman, an electric bike which looks so good, it is up to par with some of the industry leaders. Powered by a liquid cooled permanent magnet electric motor, the Voxan Wattman has 200 Hp and 200 Nm of torque at its disposal, pretty much enough for any bike.
Car maker Wiesmann never was a prominent manufacturer world wide, so much so, that the biggest news that came from them this year was the imminent bankruptcy.
Now, the media shifts its attention to the German car maker yet again, as recent news seems to point towards a reviving of the brand.
“The management board of the Wiesmann corporation has filed the application to dismiss the insolvency proceedings due to abolition of the insolvency reasons. The creditors’ meeting is postponed to December 16, 2013″ read the statement. While the solution behind this move was not disclosed, I guess we should rejoice for their good fortune.
