BMW’s celebratory motorcycle, the R nineT is fresh out of the plant, and already aftermarket specialists have had a go at it.
The first to add to the original design is Urban Motor, and the result is quite good.
Now called the Urban Motor Track Grinder, the BMW R nineT has had quite a lot of work done. Starting with a custom Supertrapp exhaust system, the tuner went on to install Brembo master cylinders for brake and clutch, a Mottogadget Motoscope Pro digital LED display and so on. Pretty much everything else got replaced, except for the engine.
There are a lot of track cars out there, but they are not quite as prominent as other vehicles, with only a few really making a worldwide impression.
Still, many are quite good, and a few are even street legal, like the more popular Ariel Atom.
A newcomer to this party is the so called Project Dragon, a brain child birthed from the union of Project111 and Palatov Motorsport. Using the Palatov D2, they built up to a reported 430 Hp and 574 nm of torque. Decent numbers, considering the 816 kg weight.

These past few days, the internet and not only has been flooded by various news regarding the crash and death of Paul Walker, star of the Fast and Furious series.
And if there is a thing we can be sure of, is that a lot of people will try to cash in on the tragedy of the actor.
While at the top we have the big corporations, the bottom feeders can be considered common thieves. This is the best way to describe what happened to the wreckage of the Porsche Paul died in. When it was transported on a tow truck bed, an individual decided to make off with a piece of it.
Starting out as a major feat of engineering back in 2005, the Bugatti Veyron has slowly become somewhat of an ego trip for the manufacturer.
As proof, the car that was supposed to be the epitome of performance but also exclusivity now has reached 400 sold units.
This last sold model was the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Jean-Pierre Wimille Edition, and I doubt even this car has enough space on the rear side for the full name. The buyer is someone in the Middle East (no shock there) who put down €2.13 million. This particular variation of the grand Sport Vitesse was built in just three units, so that has a certain appeal.
With over two years spent in development, the R nineT bike is the most recent product of BMW’s Motorrad division, and today marked the start of assembly.
Built as a worthy tribute for BMW 90 years anniversary, the new bike got quite a warm welcome into the world.
After passing a rigorous dyno test phase, in which some 1.000 parameters were checked to see if they were up to spec, the first three units were rolled out for a select few guests to see. With a very nice event put together by the German manufacturer, the media representatives got to enjoy every second with the R nineT bikes.
Ever since the Dark Knight trilogy hit the movie theaters, its great success managed to spill over in pretty much every industry, car making included.
And while we have seen a lot of builds based on the Batmobile (or rather tank), this golf cart has to be one of the best out there.
There are a couple reasons why this should be considered a success. First off, the builder actually managed to pull off the Dark Knight-ish look even on a golf cart, an otherwise bland and boring vehicle. Secondly, after listing the custom Batman cart on e-bay, someone actually bought it for $17.500.
