Even though Ford has been pretty much keeping a lid on actual sales figures they’ve been managing lately, it’s clear these aren’t small. We got our first hints from the Ford F-150 EcoBoost sales rushing up and from the Fiesta being top seller in Europe but somehow that didn’t seem substantiated enough.
For some time now we knew that the Koreans were doing pretty well financially but the latest of sales figures proof just how much we might be underestimating Kia. Hard figures suggest that Kia’s accountants drew the line at a total profit of $890 million for the first three months of 2011.
The Americans really want to storm the Chinese… automotive market. In a recent announcement from Ford we’ve found that their assault on the Chinese automotive market has been escalated by an increase in the number of dealers available.
May was a pretty good month for Buick dealers as they registered a 37% increase in work volume when compared to last year’s stats for the same month. When figures are compared with last month the increase in sales registered at the American company is even better as it measures 46%.
Jaguar Land Rover have been recording massive sales increases, in fact the registered growth in April when compared to last years situation is 61%. Tata Motors, who of course own the British car maker have said that worldwide unit sales last month were 17,909, with Jaguar accounting for 3,559 units; the same as last year
More news from Detroit as General Motors has just announced better sales figures for this month when compared to last year’s April disastrous sales. Mind you, while this April 2010 has better sales than April 2009 it’s still 2% down on March 2010.
Chrysler Group LLC is one of Detroit’s big three that not a lot of people will trust to come back to life soon. Despite this, the company has recently announced that it is anticipating sales increase for a year-on-year level for April to amount up to 20%.
The European division of Ford has just announced that, following a sales volume of 192.500 has taken the lead of sales on the old continent. Comparing to the same month 2009 the increase in sales is 16.1 percent and when speaking in quarterly terms Ford is Europe’s second best seller.
