The upcoming 2017 Geneva Motor Show opens its gates next week and promises to be again, the most exciting auto event of the year. Carmakers worldwide are already preparing their hottest models and concepts – Volvo is also preparing the all-new 2018 XC60.

However, the model was recently teased ahead the event, the Swedish carmaker releasing some teaser photos which present the model covered up or revealing the car`s new “THOR Hammer” Lead headlights.

Even if the first teaser shows the model all covered with a cloth, one can depict the new design language, highlighted by the upswept window line and curvy lines, which make it extremely appealing and more aggressive. As for the other two images, they present the car`s “Thor Hammer” LED headlights.

Once arriving on the market towards the third quarter of 2017, the all-new 2018 Volvo XC60 will stand on the company`s new Scalable Platform Architecture, also underpinning the XC/S/V90, adding plenty of gadgetries inside, like the new TFT and digital instrument cluster.

As for the car`s engine lineup, the new XC60 will come with a wide range of petrol burners and diesels, including the new 1.5-liter three-cylinder mill, and the 2.0-liter engine. As expected, Volvo will also introduce a hybrid variant. Full performance details will be unveiled in Geneva, starting the 7th of March.

The 2018 Volvo XC60 will compete against the all-new BMW X3, Jaguar F-Pace, Audi Q5, and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
