As you well know, the British brand Jaguar is going through some difficult times, due to very low sales in recent years and because of the cyberattack that took place in September 2025 on Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). It is the most expensive attack in the history of Great Britain.
You probably know that they stopped producing internal combustion cars for some time, and are trying to relaunch themselves on the market with a new logo and an electric car that will compete with many premium luxury cars, such as the BMW i7 M70, Porsche Taycan Turbo S, Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door EV, and others.
There is little time left until Jaguar will launch the Type 01 model, namely next month, in October. On social networks, they publish all kinds of pictures of their classic cars next to the new Type 01 which will be 100% electric and which will be powered by 3 electric motors.
They have published in almost all their posts on social networks the Type 01 car with the writing “October 2026,” which makes us think of the launch date. There is not much time left until then, and we are eager to see what the “new automotive era” of Jaguar will look like.
Interior
The people at Jaguar have presented some pictures of the car’s interior. This is the first time we see that central “spine” that separates the four seats in a car. Otherwise, the interior design is minimalist, not based on screens and ambient lights. It is more oriented towards luxury than towards a typical EV interior. What do you think of the interior?
Performance
As for technical data, the Jaguar Type 01 will be the first series model built on the Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA). Technical data:
- 3 electric motors that develop over 1,000 HP and approximately 1,300 Nm
- All-wheel drive system
- Battery autonomy: 700-800 km with fast charging
- Air suspension with active shock absorbers
- Over 5 meters long
Pricing and Release Date
It will cost around 130,000 EUR and will be launched in October 2026 at New York.
