From Aura to Evo: An Insider’s Look Into Volkswagen’s 3 New Vehicle Concepts

Views

Volkswagen has been in business for a long time. They need to keep innovating to stay competitive, as is the case with any modern car company. To that end, they have been focused on the creation and promotion of three relatively new vehicle concepts that are worth talking about.

Before you head to a , you might want to zero in on which model makes the most sense for your lifestyle. To that end, let’s take a look at the three most recent vehicle concepts of which Volkswagen seems to be particularly proud.

The Aura

First, we should mention that these vehicles are currently being marketed specifically toward Chinese drivers. While versions should be available to drivers in other parts of the world at some point, it’s unclear whether there will be many modifications by the time the company reaches that juncture.

We will start with the Aura. This is a compact sedan from , a subsidiary of the main company. It features something called a Compact Main Platform, shortened to CMP.

The user interface is smartphone-inspired. that is capable of controlling some of the vehicle’s functions. The AI infusion and high level of automated driving features are what make this model a standout.

The Era

As for the Era, it is a large SUV. It has three roomy rows of seats and is fully electric. It does also have a combustion engine as a range extender, which makes it more attractive to some individuals who might otherwise be leery about going all-electric.

The combined range of this vehicle is about 600 miles, which should make it a popular go-to for a lot of families and individuals living in China. Like the Aura, it comes with AI infusion and responds readily to commands from the driver.

The Evo

This one was created by Volkswagen Anhui, another subsidiary of the main company. In China, there are many more compartmentalized versions of the company than what is seen in America, though naturally they still work and coordinate together as far as tech is concerned.

The Evo is an SUV that is not short on style. It is being marketed specifically toward a younger crowd, with commercials that make this obvious. The 800-volt platform is the star, and it also features high-performance interior architecture that is widely considered to be state of the art.

The advanced digital systems and AI infusion that all three of these models share are seen as the new wave in modern vehicular technology. While Volkswagen’s tech is proprietary, there are several companies that are attempting to implement similar styles and features. This should be seen in the US relatively soon, though, as we mentioned, it seems unlikely that these exact three vehicles will ever make it to America’s shores.

The advanced connectivity of these models is regarded as being highly sought after, though only vehicle sales next year and in 2027 will determine whether that’s actually the case.
