Hyundai Elantra Road Racer by ARK Performance Is Ready for SEMA Show

The 2016 SEMA show taking place in Las Vegas is opening its gates in a couple of weeks and a lot of important carmakers are already preparing their latest rides. We are definitely going to see a lot of standout prototypes and concepts, along with one-off models coming with impressive tuning programs.

It is also the case of Hyundai carmaker which has joined forces with ARK Performance tuning company to prepare a custom-built Elantra, the hardcore version being also ready for an official debut in Las Vegas.

The project is called the Elantra Road Racer and refers to a heavily-modified model with exceptional racing capabilities.

The project first involves a lot of customization at the exterior, the model getting a wide body kit with custom front and rear fascia, adding bespoke side sills and fenders, APR Performance front splitter, ARK lightweight forged wheels, all complemented with the gorgeous Fiere Customs full vinyl body wrap.

In terms of mechanics, the Hyundai Elantra Road Racer is also packed with the latest updates, meaning the ARK DT-P coil-over system, front strut tower bar, ARK Performance anti-roll bars, and so on. Inside, the cabin is also looking exclusive with the ARK diamond-stitched leather or sport steering wheel.

In the engine department, the technicians from ARK Performance have fitted the Elantra Road Racer with the Custom ARK turbo kit with Xcargot XT26 turbocharger, ARK downpipe and GRiP exhaust system, along with the Turbosmart blow-off valve and wastegate. Unfortunately, the tuner has not revealed the new performance and torque numbers.

In Las Vegas, the Hyundai Elantra Road Racer will be joining other modified models within the carmaker`s lineup, such as the Santa Fe by Bisimoto, Santa Fe with Power Upgrades by Rockstar Performance Garage as well as a powerful Veloster racing car customized by Gurnade tuning.
