Jaguar has just revealed some new photographs that were taken during extreme winter conditions testing of their future electric car. The Jaguar Electric GT was put through its paces just inside the Arctic Circle before it was released in the second half of 2026.
Besides unleashing a fresh new chapter in the life of the Jaguar brand, the Type 00 concept that was unveiled at the end of the year will act as an inspiration to the other Jaguar models. Towards the end of the year 2025, the British manufacturer stopped the assembly of the F-Pace SUV, which was the last model that was fitted with a combustion engine.
The next electric Jaguar will be a high-performance GT with more than 1000 horsepower, and it will have a total of at least three electric motors from Jaguar. One hundred fifty prototypes of the new model are currently being put through the most rigorous testing settings on the planet by Jaguar. This is being done to ensure that the new automobile will be ready for introduction within the time frame that was originally anticipated.
The most recent experiment was carried out on a frozen lake in Sweden that is located in the Arctic Circle. In this location, Jaguar was able to test the future of their automobile even at a temperature of -40 degrees Celsius. The most powerful and technologically advanced Jaguar production vehicle in the world will be equipped with a torque vectoring system that is both clever and complex, as well as an all-wheel drive system that is sophisticated.

A number of additional cutting-edge systems, such as dynamic air suspension, active dampers with dual valves, and all-wheel steering, were put through their paces in the difficult winter weather conditions.
Because of the cutting-edge technology that is the ThermAssist system, it will be much simpler to heat the battery and keep it at the desired temperature.
Using this thermal control system, you may reduce your heating expenses by as much as forty percent while still maintaining a comfortable temperature inside the engine and the cabin.
The last few months of this year will see the introduction of the brand-new Jaguar electric vehicle to the market.
What do you think about Jaguar’s decision to go all-electric and abandon combustion engines? Will they be successful with the new Jaguar Electric GT? Let us know your opinion in the comments section below.
