Great news for the BMW marque! Since the launch of their first electric car, they have sold over 2 million electric cars. The first electric car was the i3 and it was formally debuted in 2013.
The BMW i5 is the vehicle that makes this miracle possible. The lucky owner is a customer from Spain. It has reached the milestone of 2 million units sold.
The Bavarians have recently scored a great success in their efforts. They have sold more than two million electric cars since the i3’s debut.
BMW has sold about 3.5 million electrified vehicles in total. One out of four vehicles sold was an electric car by the BMW Group in the first half of 2026.
The total sales in Europe in the second quarter of this year are 81,445, an increase of 38% compared to the 64,795 sold in the same quarter last year.
Meanwhile, electric vehicles accounted for 28% of the German group’s total European sales in the first half of 2026.
It is news that shows BMW’s success that has in terms of sales of electric cars and even of the combustion ones. They are doing extremely well in sales due to the fact that they have a wide range of cars, which are of very good quality and have excellent performance compared to their competitors.
