Toyota revealed new details and pricing on the new Prius C, a model which is ready to debut in the States in March 2012. The Toyota Prius C is the third hybrid model offered by the Japanese manufacturer in North America, the starting price of the model being set for $18,950 (excluding the $760 destination fee).

The Japanese model benefits from a 1.5-liter gasoline unit and an electric motor for a total output of 99 horsepower. The EPA estimated fuel economy is rated at 53 mpg (city) and 46 mpg (highway).

Instead of a lithium-ion battery pack, the Prius C uses a 144-volt nickel-metal battery, a new feature for the Japanese model. In terms of features, the model benefits from ABS, VSC, Traction control, Bluetooth connectivity, climate control and more.

These features are available for the base trim level called “One” while the second package adds cruise control, variable windshield wipers and a six-speaker audio system.
Finally, the range-topping model offers satellite navigation with a 6.1-inch touchscreen, 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps and a Multi-information Display.
