And yet another premiere comes to us from the Sao Paulo Motor Show currently going on in Brazil. It seems like the spokespeople for Honda/Acura had a good story ready over there.

They have confirmed that their company will be the one to introduce the brand new flagship supercar very soon.

So far, Acura promise they’ll be ready for a brand new NSX unveiling/revival early next year. They mean it though.

Allegedly the unveiling of the production version of the Acura NSX is going to take place at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show.

Originally, Ferrari had announced that the F70 would also be unveiled at the Detroit show but then changed their minds.

Hopefully Acura won’t do the same since their most important market is the North American one overall.

The new Acura NSX is currently being showcased as a concept in places like Brazil and Japan later in the year. After that, January 2013 is where we’ll see the real stuff.

The interior is what everybody is really looking forward to at this point. All of us love the exterior look and the performance bits are pretty familiar for a time now.

Japan’s comeback to the mid-engined supercar market will be powered by a 3.5 liter V6 with i-VTEC and a couple of electric motors.

Expectancy stands around 400 horsepower for output and still the fuel economy levels shouldn’t be far off a two liter traditional engine.

Just as before, the European version will be branded as a Honda, even though Acura have started showing up here as well.
