BMW Group has officially unveiled the first concept of the BMW Alpina. It is called Vision BMW Alpina and is a luxurious masterpiece in a coupe body, powered by a V8 engine. It uses the same chassis as the 7-series. The place where this concept has been unveiled is at the Villa d’Este Concours d’Elegance.

The concept introduces a fresh look that places heavy emphasis on performance and extravagance. A length of 5,200 millimeters and an extremely intimidating design language characterize the Bavarian luxury coupe.

Particularly prominent in the front is the kidney grill, which is shaped like a shark’s nose. The iconic double grille gets a three-dimensional makeover, and the ultra-thin LED headlights are a nod to the recently unveiled BMW 7 Series refresh.

Inspired by the Alpina B7 Coupe

From the late ’70s, the Alpina B7 coupe, which introduced the company’s philosophy to a luxury car, every model thereafter was immediately identifiable as an Alpina. The luxury coupe concept, Vision BMW Alpina, has been inspired by the Alpina B7 coupe, which is based on the E24 BMW 6-Series. BMW continues the story with this new masterpiece.

Exterior Design

The Vision BMW Alpina’s body features multiple sculpted surfaces throughout, including the hood, bumpers, and sides. The Deco-line design element is another distinguishing characteristic of the concept that gives the Vision BMW Alpina its distinctive appearance.

The front end looks perfect, thanks to the wide, narrow headlights and the big shark nose that reinterprets BMW’s kidney grille. These elements make the front of the car look very aggressive.

The idea’s exterior is finished off with four elliptical tailpipes, 22-inch front wheels, and 23-inch rear wheels with twenty spokes.

Here we find mostly a leather interior and the BMW Panoramic iDrive system, which features a slim screen that spans the full width of the dashboard. Here you can find a BMW Panoramic Vision HUD in addition to a passenger screen.

Metal embellishments have satin and polished finishes, and the hand-sewn seams are painted in green and blue. Crystals are used to finish the most crucial controls.

Beside few crystal glasses, you’ll find a water bottle positioned underneath the center console. Additionally, the new concept incorporates a Comfort+ driving mode that prioritizes extra comfort.

Release Date

BMW Group announced that the new series model of the BMW Alpina will be released in 2027.
