The Ferrari Luce continues to generate discussion across the digital automotive community. While Audi recently drew attention with the presentation of the Nuvolari plug-in hybrid sports car, comparisons quickly expanded to include both the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe and Ferrari’s new electric sedan. Opinions remain divided, especially when the Luce enters the conversation.

Audi’s latest project has earned praise from many enthusiasts. The Nuvolari pairs a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with three electric motors and is scheduled for a production run limited to 499 examples. The model also draws heavily from the Lamborghini Temerario and wraps those ingredients in a retro-modern design theme. Against that backdrop, Ferrari’s electric four-door continues to attract mixed reactions.

Yet disagreement often fuels creativity.

Among the designers exploring alternative versions of the Luce is Luca Serafini, a Modena-based virtual automotive artist known online as “lsdesignsrl.” This latest project represents his third reinterpretation of Ferrari’s recently introduced model. The earlier concepts took different paths. One transformed the Luce into a larger five-seat EV inspired by the 2008 Pininfarina Sintesi concept. Another revisited the spirit of the Fiat Coupe, presenting a modern digital-age interpretation aimed at bringing Fiat back into public focus through a democratic and future-oriented design approach.

This newest exercise heads somewhere else entirely.

Serafini revisits the Ferrari 250 GT SWB Breadvan and adapts its character for a modern audience. The result is an unofficial Ferrari Luce Breadvan, described as a contemporary shooting brake connected to the famous 1962 track icon. The designer frames the project as a deliberate contradiction. Historic roots meet digital-age thinking. Familiar proportions give way to a body style rarely associated with modern Ferrari road cars.

The concept emphasizes interior space and aerodynamic efficiency. Connectivity plays an important role in the project’s vision, while recycled materials also form part of the proposal. According to the description, the vehicle aims to reinterpret a historic racing silhouette through the lens of today’s connected generation.

There is another major departure from the production Luce.

Ferrari introduced the real model as an electric sedan, yet this unofficial Breadvan abandons battery-only propulsion. Instead, the digital project places an internal-combustion engine beneath the bodywork. That single change alters the personality of the vehicle as much as the redesigned shape.

Whether you prefer the original Luce or this wagon-like reinterpretation, the project shows how quickly digital artists begin reshaping new vehicles after their debut. In the case of the Ferrari Luce, three different alternative visions have already appeared, and the Breadvan stands apart as the boldest of the group.
