Mercedes-AMG GT4 Racer Confirmed for 2017

Mercedes-Benz and AMG has been building high-end models and race cars for a long time and the result between the flagship carmaker and its tuning division can be seen in the plethora of models that highlight the AMG GT fleet.

And lately we have seen a lot of sports cars to enter the AMG GT big family, with models to wear the GT, GT S, GT R, GT Convertible and the recently unveiled GT3 race car.

The end result of this outstanding collaboration is the making of the future Mercedes-AMG GT4 race car, which is planned to arrive next year.

Just like the Mercedes-AMG GT3, the future GT4 will also come with the latest technology, safety features and plethora of mechanics. Not to mention the sheer performance under the hood. Unfortunately, all we have so far is a rendering with the future model as well as the statement of Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, who announced the arrival of the model.

“The development of the Mercedes-AMG GT4 is another important step in the continuing expansion of our Mercedes-AMG motorsport programme. The excellent feedback of our Customer Sports teams concerning the AMG GT3 and the increasing interest for GT4 race cars strengthened us in our decision. We are delighted to address an even larger target group of amateur and professional drivers and teams in the future with it.”
