Maserati GranTurismo

Maserati GranTurismo is a well-known sports car which replaced the Coupe model in 2007. The Italian model uses the same platform with the Quattroporte V and has been revealed for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in 2007. The Maserati GranTurismo is 4,8 meters long, 1,8 meters wide and has a curb weight of 1,880 kilograms.

Under the bonnet, the Italian engineers fitted a 4.2-liter V8 engine able to deliver 400 horsepower but also a more powerful 4.7-liter V8 with 433 horses. The units can be coupled either to a six-speed ZF automatic or to a semi-automatic transmission.

Only one year later, Maserati decided to unveil a more powerful version of the model, namely the GranTurismo S unveiled at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. As expected, it got a more powerful 4.7-liter V8 producing 440 horses and 490 Nm of torque mated to a six-speed sequential transmission.

Year 2010 brought the Maserati GranCabrio, the convertible variant of the GranTurismo S fitted with canvas roof. The model has been revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2009 with the production set for the next year at the Viale Ciro Menotti plant. The Maserati GranCabrio Sport entered the market in 2011 as a more powerful version of the convertible model with 444 horses under the hood.
