The Porsche Cayenne range will be extended with a new model, namely the Cayenne S diesel, a V8-powered SUV able to keep the performance up and fuel consumption down.
The new model will be seen in world premiere at the upcoming Paris Motor Show later this month. Under the hood we find a 4.2-liter twin turbo V8 producing 382hp and 850Nm of torque.
This enables the German model to sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in 5,7 seconds topping out at 252 km/h.
“The new Porsche Cayenne S Diesel offers a compelling combination of dynamic performance and efficiency,” says Porsche.
According to Porsche, the new Cayenne S diesel provides a driving range of 1199 kilometers, a start/stop function being implemented in order to improve the figures. Fuel economy figures are rated at 8,3 liters/100km (28,3mpg US, 34mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 218 g/km.
Pricing will start at £58,243 in the UK with the first deliveries to be done starting early 2013.
