The Germans from Wiesmann recently unveiled at Geneva their newest concept, called Spyder. With a lightweight structure and a powerful BMW engine, the German concept impresses at the performance chapter. The German roadster packs a 4.0-liter eight-cylinder engine able to develop 420 horsepower.

Actually, the engine fitted on the new Spyder concept is the same unit found under the bonnet of the current M3 generation from BMW. According to Wiesmann, the new Spyder concept manages to acheive a top speed of 290 km/h while the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is done in less than 4 seconds.

For now, nobody knows if this concept foreshadows a future series model but there are some chances to see most probably next year, a model inspired from this concept, bearing the Wiesmann badge.

In terms of design, Wiesmann Spyder gets rid of the windshield and even the doors disappear, a decision which gives the German concept a new appearance. A set of new multispoke alloy wheels are also present. Here are some shots of the new Spyder concept from the Geneva Motor Show.

    The price drop on the hlaivey equipped 300 is the most significant buy, I would say. Love the classic large American sedan reborn in that stunning body! I am drooling to drive one.
