After several leaked photos, the British people from Land Rover officially unveiled the 2013 Range Rover, an SUV which sports the latest technologies such as a new aluminium monocoque structure along with aluminum chassis.
By replacing steel with aluminium, the new Range Rover weighs 420kg less than the outgoing model which, without any doubt, improves the performance.
Under the bonnet we will find a 3.0-liter TDV6 unit, a supercharged V8 and also a 4.4-liter TDV8 unit.
North American buyers will be able to get the new Range Rover with a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine. Whatever your choice is, the British company provides a new eight-speed automatic transmission.
As expected, the new Range Rover will be presented at the Paris Motor Show, more details such as availability and pricing following to be released then.
“This new aluminum platform delivers significant enhancements in performance and agility, along with an improvement in fuel economy and reduction in CO2 emissions,” said Land Rover.
