KIA has officially launched the Sportage in Australia. The third generation compact SUV model presents an elegant look all around, with nice clean and modern lines. Three engine choices will be available, two for petrol fans and one for diesel.
The petrol segment has a 2-litre 163 hp engine and 197 Nm with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic (2WD). The price for the base model begins at $25,990. Next up we have a 2.4-litre petrol engine sporting 174 hp and 227 Nm with a 6-speed automatic gearbox (AWD), priced at $31,990 for the base model. On to the diesel, which is the favourite, we have a 2-litre 181 hp and 392 Nm engine with a 6-speed automatic (AWD), priced at $34,990.
Safety has been a primary concern for the KIA Sportage, as it features in all models 6 airbags, ESP, ABS, HAC, DBC. Other features include the Dynamax AWD system from Magna, keyless entry, ventilated seats, cruise control, a trip computer, adjustable seats, alloy wheels, dusk sensors, leather seats, leather wheel and leather knob.
