The new Mazda3 debuts in the United Kingdom in hatchback form with a starting price of £13,495 until March 31 (special offer) and £14,995 afterwards. The entry-level model is powered by a 1.6-liter petrol unit able to deliver 104 horsepower and return a combined fuel economy of 44,1mpg UK.
A more powerful 2.0-liter with 149 horses along a 2.3-liter turbo engine developing 256 horsepower is available as well. The diesel engine range includes a 1.6-liter with 113hp and a combined economy of 65,7mpg UK, a 2.2-liter 148hp unit but also a 2.2-liter 182hp engine with fuel consumption figures of 52,3mpg UK.
At the interior, the S trim level features electric windows and air-conditioning while dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity and heated windscreen are available for the TS and TS2 levels. New 17-inch alloy wheels, satellite navigation and premium Bose audio system with 10 speakers are available for the range-topping Sport trim.
If the new Mazda3 1.6 MZR S starts from £14,995 in the UK, the most expensive model in the range is the 2.3 MZR DISI Turbo variant with a price tag of £23,395.
