2016 BMW 7-Series Launched in the US, Impressive Photo Gallery Released

The 2016 BMW 7-Series is making an impressive come-back in the news, as the model was recently launched at an event in New York City. This was the perfect occasion for the media representatives from Australia, Canada, India, New Zeeland and US to see the latest flagship at work on some driving sessions on the Monticello Motor Club track. An impressive photo gallery stands proof that the iconic 7-Series is there to stay for good.

On the United States market, the 2016 BMW 7-Series will be launched in two models, the already previewed 740i and the 750i xDrive, the German carmaker also revealing their prices and powertrains.

The 2016 BMW 740i will be priced from $81,300 and will pack a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo, inline flat-six gasoline engine, developing a good 320 horsepower, which will send the power to the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

On the other hand, the 2016 BMW 750i xDrive will set you back at a higher $97,400 and will fit an upgraded 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, with 445 horsepower and the same eight-speed automatic transmission, sending the power to all wheels via the xDrive system.

But the good news don’t stop here, as BMW is also planning the introduction of a plug-in hybrid 7-Series 740e xDrive in the US. This one will be equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline burner, hooked to an electric motor. We do not have the power and torque figures, but rumors state that it would come with a 23 mile range, at a topping of 121 km/h.

Until further details with the 2016 BMW 7-Series in the United States, feel free to enjoy the impressive photo gallery and don’t forget that your opinion does count!
