A roughly driven 2020 Corvette Stingray coupe recently popped up at an auction with an asking price of “just” $83,505. However, its latest sale ended up at around $63,500, which was quite a loss for the owner who drove the car for just 4,200 miles.
Mileage tells only part of the story here. This example carries the 3LT trim together with the Z51 package, and the owner spent extra effort reshaping the interior after delivery. The cabin no longer uses the original upholstery configuration. Heated and ventilated GT2 bucket seats received replacement Jet Black and Natura leather skins in July 2023 after the first owner became unhappy with how the perforated surfaces looked.

According to the seller, the seats gave the impression of being dirty despite being clean. An upholstery specialist handled the swap using OEM materials. Strange situation, honestly. Still, the revised interior appears coherent from the photos, and the change does not feel out of place once you see the rest of the specification.
Inside, the car carries a performance data and video recorder, wireless charger, Bose 14-speaker audio system, head-up display, and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel. A Soler Performance DLX electronic throttle control module joined the package as well.

Outside, the Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic paint works together with several Z51-related visual additions. The coupe uses a high-wing spoiler, LED headlights, Carbon Flash-painted mirror caps, ACS Composite front spoiler, radiator mesh guards, and rocker extensions styled after the Z06. The wheel setup combines two-tone Trident designs measuring 19 inches up front and 20 inches at the rear. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires wrap both ends.
Then there is the hardware underneath. Upgraded Brembo brakes and revised suspension tuning arrive through the Z51 Performance Package. Power comes from the mid-mounted 6.2-liter LT2 V8, rated at 495 horsepower together with 470 lb-ft of torque. Part of the output increase stems from the Z51 performance exhaust system.

A heavy-duty cooling setup also belongs to the package. From there, drive travels to the rear wheels through a Tremec eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential.
Viewed from a distance, the car edges fairly close to Z06 territory visually, though the article argues buyers chasing maximum value should still search for an actual used Z06 instead of stretching for a heavily optioned Stingray. Even so, this Corvette leaves the auction block with a dense specification sheet, low mileage, and a sale price far below its original invoice.
