One of Chevrolet’s rarest recent Corvette variants has reached the end of its run. The final 2026 Corvette E-Ray Stars & Steel Limited Edition has been completed, closing the book on a model created to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Chevrolet unveiled the Stars & Steel package in December 2025 and capped production at 250 units. Buyers could order the special edition across the Corvette range, from the LT2-powered Stingray all the way to the 1,250-horsepower ZR1X. Coupe and convertible body styles both qualified for the package, though orders are no longer available.

The final example built wears Arctic White paint and belongs to a customer named Gerry from Connecticut. According to Rick Conti, this particular car is a Corvette E-Ray and represents the last Stars & Steel vehicle produced. The commemorative package was available in two color combinations. Customers selected either Arctic White paired with a Santorini Blue interior or Black matched with Adrenaline Red.
Production figures add context to the story. Unofficially, General Motors assembled 1,177 Corvette E-Ray models for the 2026 model year at the Bowling Green facility in Kentucky. Conti states Gerry’s car carries build number 1,154 from that total. He also says only 50 Corvette E-Ray Stars & Steel editions were produced during the model year.

Several visual details separate the package from a regular E-Ray. Satin Black stripes inspired by the American flag stretch across the bodywork and contrast with the white finish. The doors wear special 250 graphics, while the cabin includes a plaque displaying the vehicle’s build sequence number. Dedicated sill plates form part of the package as well. Depending on the configuration, buyers selected Black Gloss, Carbon Flash, or Carbon Fiber wheels.
The patriotic theme continues throughout the car. Red seatbelts appear inside the cabin. Edge Red brake calipers sit behind the wheels. Matching red stitching decorates the floor mats, and the engine cover receives the same Edge Red treatment. Black exhaust finishers complete the specification.

The timing of this final build carries additional significance. Chevrolet has discontinued the Corvette E-Ray as preparations continue for the 2027 model year lineup. A new small-block V8 replaces the outgoing LT2 architecture in the Stingray, Grand Sport, and Grand Sport X. The updated engine gains additional displacement and a less restrictive exhaust system.
Grand Sport X takes over the position previously occupied by the E-Ray. Unlike the hybrid setup’s combined 655 horsepower generated by a 6.2-liter engine and front-mounted electric drive unit, the new Grand Sport X delivers 721 horsepower. Chevrolet expects 0 to 60 miles per hour, or 97 kilometers per hour, in under 3 seconds, while quarter-mile performance figures remain unconfirmed.
