Even the Detroit Motor Show is just around the corner, we have the opportunity to get a closer look at the all-new Dodge Dart starting today. The American people from Dodge decided to take the platform of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta and develop a longer version of it for the new Dart, a model which replaces the Caliber in the range.

Under the bonnet, there will be three gasoline engines with outputs ranging from 160 to 184 horsepower but also a 160hp 1.4-liter turbocharged unit found under the hood of the Abarth 500. In terms of transmissions, Dodge will offer a six-speed manual gearbox as well as a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

According to the company, there are some chances to see a nine-speed ZF transmission in the range, sometime later after debut.

We are not sure if these leaked photos were accidentally published or there is a marketing strategy in between. However, we are happy that we can meet the new Dodge Dart earlier as well as watching a first look video with the American model. Of course, a complete list of specifications along with more photos will be available after its Detroit debut this month.
