About a week from now, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is going to kick off, once again bringing Britain to the front line of motoring enthusiast attention. There’s a wide array of new cars to be unveiled there but certainly one of the most important, actually, scratch that, one of the most self indulging cars […]
Decent fuel economy is, of course, one of the stupidest things to say about the fuel economy of a road burning monster the likes of the Bentley Continental GT. The thing is, they’ve recently introduced a twin-turbo V8 powered version of the grand tourer and the British were quite proud of the 40% increase in […]
Sure, the Jeep Grand Cherokee isn’t the sort of car that’s meant to go fast but that didn’t stop SRT from making one with a 6.4 liter HEMI V8. Likewise, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 certainly is fast, but that’s not going to stop Hennessey from making it so fast it becomes almost absurd right? […]
It’s not like the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is lacking in power when it rolls off the production line. It’s not like the 2011 CTS-V isn’t striking enough. It’s just that Hennessey is a tuner that reckons extreme power is what people want and that’s precisely what the American company delivers. Once a CTS-V coupe […]
GM and Cadillac have given us so many ups and downs over the years it’s almost difficult to trust everything they say but with this one there’s that good feeling. It seems like Cadillac’s latest creation, the ATS will get something very special added to the mix, a “V” version, and the company is so […]
The Bentley Continental GT does crave a few custom packages and given the money rolling around purchases for the British brand tuning companies are only too happy to oblige. As one of the less than discrete offerings, Luxury tuner Onyx decided to update their Bentley Continental GTO package.
Unlike Chrysler, the Germans at Mercedes are more open to bringing engine downsizing to the market and to their performance models. This is why one of their most important exhibits at the New York Auto Show held the latest model of the 2012 Mercedes E63 AMG, one with a smaller engine.
I don’t really know why, but Audi’s R8 is tuning darling, and the V10 version is clearly in the top ranks. It’s probably because of the same class feel as the Porsche 911, another tuner magnet, but either way, this here Ingolstadt made V10 really shines.
It’s not exactly the latest of news that cars are full of technology and that in the future it will only get more advanced. Brabus has always been one of the top level Mercedes tuners and they decided to show us just how far this technology thing can go.
Bentley don’t seem to be having enough with bringing a new car to the Geneva Motor Show or some leather accessories because they’ve just announced another gem they’ll be showing off next month. Their landice speed world record holding Bentley Continental Supersports convertible will be seen at the Swiss event.
Since BMW’s presence at the Geneva Motor Show may be a tad sedate, specialist tuner Alpina plans to somewhat change things. Let’s face it, the 2011 F10 BMW 5 Series, is what I like to call a simply astonishing car, but it’s just not enough for the guys who want tuning.
Not sure. That’s what a few recent reports have been suggesting though. It would certainly be interesting if Chevrolet were to make a comeback and perhaps liven things up in IndyCar. The infamous open wheel series seems to have lost quite a lot of glamor and the organizers are struggling to bring it back.
Reifen Koch is another German tuning company that has set out to update the already very powerful and slightly insane Audi RS6. Difference between the madness here and the madness of the MTM Audi RS6 Clubsport is that this car seems to have a better way of hiding its power.
McLaren Automotive have organised a special “welcome” party for the new car we’ve been hearing so much of in the past few months. This would be another demonstration of McLaren soft power in the release of the MP4-12C after a massive stab at the Bugatti Veyron from Ron Dennis.
Have you ever considered Audi’s RS6 as being a bit slow? Neither did I but German tuning company MTM think it they can do better. Enter MTM Clubsport package to make it more of everything and give it a properly loud paint job that features three colors and some decals. There’s more, of course…
Bentley came along in 2003 and brought out the Continental GT, a car that would borrow the engine from a Volkswagen Phaeton and add a couple of turbochargers to it. This engine was so powerful that Bentley had trouble measuring the torque output. As time passed by this car went through a few versions each […]
As I said in another post and I’ll keep saying each time I have this opportunity, Chevrolet Camaro is probably one of the best cars built until now taking it from the gorgeous aspect that makes me fall in love with this vehicle, to the amazing “monster” that is found under the hood of this […]
