Rolls Royce’s Flying Lady making a comeback

Europe probably has the most snobbery filled car buying public and as a result a car’s badge sometime is more important than anything else.

And if there is one car badge that is staggering that’ll be the Spirit of Ecstasy you can find on the bonnet of a Rolls Royce.

The Flying lady is a sight to behold at any time. So, with this in mind, a bit of nostalgia hits back. There was a time when Rolls Royce dealers had a full sized statue displayed to attract potential customers.

If you look at the opposition it’s easy to see why. A while back, Mercedes, Maybach, Jaguar and Bentley all sported an imposing badge on the front to let commoners know when to get out of the way.

Now though, the three pointed star, the double M, the leaping cat and the flying B only come as options.

Not so in the case of Rolls Royce. Heck, the British have taken opulence to a new level, the whole thing looks as if Rolls owners want you to get out of their way even when they’re not in the car.

That is presumably why the Brits teamed up with Priory Fine Arts in order to create replicas of the statues Rolls Royce dealers used. The creations are set to come in at around $3.150 if you want your office to be decorated with a flying lady that’s made out of bronze.

Silver or Gold plating will inevitably cost more.
