2011 Ford Ranger introduced in Australia

The American manufacturer revealed the details and photos for the new generation of Ranger, a model which comes with a load capacity of 1.21 cubic meters, figure available for the double cab version. Under the bonnet, we find three new engines, the last one being able to use flex-fuel. Thus, a 2.2-liter Duratorq TDCi I4 engine starts the engine’s list with a power output of 148HP and 375 Nm of torque.

Aiming higher, a more powerful 3.2-liter Duratorq TDCi I5 propeller is available able to give you around 200 horses, more exactly 197HP and 470 Nm of torque. To not forget the 2.5-liter Duratec I4 petrol engine, able to develop 164HP and as said above, able to use CNG and LPG fuel. Also to mention that these engines can be chose with the MT82 or MT75 manual transmission but also a six-speed automatic one.

The model can be used as 4×2 or 4×4, shifting between very easily. Also, inside, few driver assist systems are available in order to increase the safety and comfort. The model was revealed in Australia, at the auto show in Sydney.
